You know, I kept this piece in my inbox thinking I would do a comparison/contrast critique with the second version, which I said I preferred over this one. The funny thing was, though, when I logged in just now I was leafing through my deviations as is my habit before commenting and critiquing, and I could have sworn that this was a different piece. I don't know what happened there, but I have to say that this piece is just as strong as the zoomed out version. Sure, there are the little faults, like the parts of the hair that seem a bit stiff, and the mascara seems a bit heavy (though I'm not one to talk, since I never wear makeup). But overall, the composition of the piece is very dramatic and intense, and while it has a different effect than the zoomed out version, it should by no means be discounted.

Very nicely done; it's not often that I get taken by surprise like that!

BTW I'm not going to Hawaii this summer after all, had to cancel cause of financial concerns, but I will go one day soon and be sure to send you a picture or two :nod:

Aw man! At least you'll be eating well instead of starving in Hawaii lol. I'd honestly rather eat well than go on vacation and not eat ;).

Yeah, that's the good thing, it should be there for at least a few more million years :D

Usually when I've gone to Hawaii, its like there's time to plan it out and all of that stuff. This was more, someone was going to let me stay in their timeshare, so they told me the date and all of that, I just had to pay for plane fare. But once you get to Hawaii, all the stuff you want to do costs something, so its not cheap. Totally worth is for sure! And you had better talk your boyfriend into taking you some day, cause you deserve it, and you tell him I said so :nod: :D
