I started out attempting to do something in steampunk style. I don't think this fully accomplished that goal by staying true to the style, I need to study it some more. It turned out to be a lot of fun modeling gears and mechanical connections so I just went with the flow. Doing this much modeling I kind of got into the zone, almost hypnotic, but not much good for regular sleep lol
This is really neat! I'm intrigued by the steampunk style as well, and I really like how you kept everything so shiny and complicated (which is how I view most steampunk works, no matter what its function is lol).
I bought like four books on steampunk just as school was starting up. I need to get back to those and do some more, it's fun. Thank you for the nice comment, glad you liked it
I should do some research on them too. My sister wants me to make her some jewelry - it'd be interesting LOL. It's no problem. Good work deserves priase .
I love it. The 1st thing I thought was steampunk as well. Many times a "steampunk" item isn't normally this polished, but the piece still screams steampunk! Great work!
Thank you! This was very much a modeling project and it made me realize just how much I love to model. I think Steampunk is rather cool, I'm still learning though what truly defines it. I am planning to do more, I got a couple of reference books
