I had only had two beers, ok maybe it was three, when I felt the urgent need for the restroom. Not one to ever ask for directions I wandered off towards the back of the bar
I suppose I should have paid more attention to a sign or something because when I popped open the door it wasn't quite what I expected
She looked like she was busy, and having the self preservation gene, I decided it wouldn't be wise to stick around and say hello.
This is dedicated to my friend in celebration of her pending graduation this week Probably not the normal graduation gift, but I think she might like it, hope so anyway.
Just to add some extra fun to this image, first deviant who can find and identify the second character in this scene gets 500 dA points.
I would definitely say that this piece is a phenomenal success considering that a shiver runs down my spine each time I look at it. In fact, I think I am going to have to scroll it out of view while I write this critique so that it consists of more than rambling comments.
The lighting in this piece is really fantastic for the mood of this piece, and it makes the accompanying background description superfluous. It feels like a horror film where the main character has just opened the wrong door and regretted the fact instantly. The dark circles under her eyes and the blood stains on her teeth add to the macabre element in this piece that make it a spine-tingling experience.
The background also adds a lot of context to the piece, and that is always a good thing. The overall layout of the scene makes me think that someone was keeping this creature locked up and that now some poor unfortunate soul has released her--certainly the stuff of which horror films are made.
Excellent work with this piece. You have definitely captured the dark side of vampires well, and the result is just out of this world.
